- The Halbert family was established in 1975 when Douglas Norman Halbert and Linda Joy Christensen were married and sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake temple on August 14, 1975. They had their first child just shy of a year after they were married. They continued to have kids until 1990 (7 kids later). They ended up with 6 sons and one precious daughter. Now in the year of 2015, the Halbert family continues to grow, with 5 daughter in laws, one son in law and 12 grand kids and three more on the way.
